North
Fork (2003) -
See The Trailer

Acclaimed filmmakers Michael and Mark Polish
deliver another movie mining the drama of America's changing
fortunes. It's 1955, and the town of Northfork, Mont., is about to
disappear off the map, the victim of a newly constructed dam. Six
men are charged with clearing Northfork of its last hangers-on: a
couple, a man who owns an ark and a nearly comatose orphan.

Eight
Legged Freaks (2002)

A toxic waste spill near a small
Nevada town causes spiders to mutate into humongous, rampaging
arachnids the size of SUVs
and they're hungry! It's up to mining
engineer Chris McCormack (David Arquette) and Sheriff Sam Parker
(Kari Wuhrer) to round up an eclectic group of townspeople --
including the sheriff's son and daughter and a paranoid radio
announcer -- to battle the bloodthirsty eight-legged beasts.

Trekkies
(1999)

From stalwart Starfleet jurors to a minimum of
miniature-golfing Klingons, this docu-comedy takes a hilariously
breezy and off-kilter look at the "Star Trek" fandom
menace. Hosted by Denise Crosby of "Star Trek: The Next
Generation."

EDtv
(1999)

From his dead-end job to dealing
with his deadbeat brother, the things that comprise Ed Pekurny's
life don't amount to much. But when a TV executive puts Ed (Matthew
McConaughey) in front of the camera 24 hours a day, his existence
gets much more interesting
and public. A sly take on Warholian
fame and modern media hype, EDtv redefines the term boob tube.

Mrs.
Doubtfire (1993)

Loving but irresponsible dad
Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams), estranged from his exasperated
spouse (Sally Field), is crushed by a court order allowing only
weekly visits with his kids. When Daniel learns his ex needs a
housekeeper, he gets the job -- disguised as an English nanny. Soon
he becomes not only his children's best pal but the kind of parent
he should have been from the start. Not surprisingly, the film won
an Oscar for Best Makeup.

Groundhog
Day (1993)

Boasting an ingenious plot,
Groundhog Day is a Bill Murray comedy worthy of its star. Murray
plays Phil, a self-centered TV weatherman stuck in a time loop. When
Phil is sent to Punxsutawney, PA, to cover the groundhog's annual
appearance, he repeats the day over and over -- until he learns that
his actions can affect the outcome of his "No Exit"
existence.

The
Rocketeer (1991)

Pilot Bill Campbell stumbles
across an experimental Nazi jet-pack that transforms him into a
one-man air force and makes him a prime target for spies, FBI agents
and Howard Hughes! Hollywood history buffs will get a kick out of
the Tinseltown in-jokes (Timothy Dalton's Errol Flynn impersonation,
for example), but the high-flying heroics (think of Buck Rogers)
will satisfy everyone.

Earth
Girls Are Easy (1989)

Earth Girls Are Easy melds the
best of alien-invasion films and musicals to offer great fun. Three
aliens (Jeff Goldblum, Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans) crash-land in
Los Angeles' San FernandoValley. A manicurist (Geena Davis) and her
boss (the wacky Julie Brown) befriend the threesome, give them
makeovers and show them the town. Check out the many DVD extras.

Willow
(1988)

A dwarfish "Nelwyn"
named Willow finds a baby adrift in a river and must protect it from
an evil queen (Jean Marsh) bent on its destruction. Along with
studly Madmartigan (Val Kilmer), Willow battles dragons and
vanquishes evildoers, all the while shielding the infant from harm.
Taken for what it is, the movie's a tribute of sorts to another film
starring a diminutive hero, Lord of the Rings.

When Hunt Stevenson (Michael
Keaton) persuades a Japanese auto firm to reopen his hometown's
defunct auto factory, he's a hero. But when the Japanese hire him to
enforce their policies among his American co-workers, he goes from
hero to zero in seconds flat! It's a head-on cultural collision
that's enough to upset the world's balance of laughter in this great
comedy by director Ron Howard.

Beverly
Hills Cop (1984)

In the fish-out-of-water role that
made him a megastar, Eddie Murphy plays Axel Foley, a tough-talking
Detroit cop who heads to the rarified world of Beverly Hills to
investigate a friend's murder. Judge Reinhold is a bungling rookie
cop who shows Axel the West Los Angeles ropes in this action comedy
that spawned two uproarious sequels.

Airplane
II: The Sequel

This sequel to Airplane adheres to
the original's manic comic sensibility. Pilot Ted Striker (Robert
Hays) knows that the first commercial spaceflight to the moon is
headed for disaster. Fighting his fears, he races to save the
passengers and win back his ex-girlfriend (Julie Hagerty). Lloyd
Bridges reprises his role as the chain-smoking, amphetamine-popping,
glue-sniffing, booze-swilling airport controller.
